Study guide surpasses others

If you have to study for this exam, you can’t do any better than this guide. This guide has all of the information you need to know in it. It’s organized and has everything broken down into sections so you can read through the whole thing, or study it one section at a time. IT also has practice tests at the end to help you figure out how well you would do on the real test based on what you have studied so far. This study guide is better than others you might find because it has everything you need in one place without a doubt.

good for western art review, but ... that's about it

i bought this study guide to prepare for the MTEL Visual Arts exam based on many positive reviews i read on-line & i have to say, i wish i bought a companion study guide, because this did not cover a significant amount of material. i think this was a good guide for western art, but it's review ended somewhere around 1940's, leaving off a huge period of art in the US and modern art developments. i also found it woefully anemic on the art of non-western cultures & countries, like Africa, South America, Asia, the Middle East... & it didn't even mention the Mayan or Aztec cultures. Also, the "practice test" in the back was weak & the website they offer for "Additional Bonus Material" is not at all useful information, most of the links are blanks... so there is no "additional bonus". i can't say it's all bad, but for 45 bucks, and their claim to be "the World's Most Comprehensive Test Preparation Company" i am very very disappointed, i only hope it didn't hurt me too badly.
